Bonnie Tyler passes away aged 75

Legendary Welsh singer Bonnie Tyler has passed away aged 75. The singer, whose real name was Gaynor Hopkins, was known for hits including “Total Eclipse of the Heart”, “It’s a Heartache” and “Holding out for a Hero”. Her family posted a statement on her Instagram page which said: “Bonnie’s family and team are heartbroken to announce that Bonnie unexpectedly passed away last night in hospital in Portugal as a result of the illness that she was being treated for.” Last month, her family revealed she had emerged from a coma but remained seriously ill in intensive care, thanking fans for their continued support.
