Country To Country Festival has announced a new partnership with Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library UK to support its work providing free books to young children. Announced to mark Give Like Dolly Day on 25 September, the partnership will see money from every C2C 2027 day and weekend ticket directed towards the early childhood book gifting programme. C2C tickets to support free books Under the initiative, £1 will be added to every C2C 2027 day ticket and £2 to every weekend ticket, subject to taxes and performing rights society charges. All proceeds will go directly to Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, which provides children from birth to the age of five with a free, age appropriate book every month. C2C 2027 will take place from 12 to 14 March at The O2 in London, the OVO Hydro in Glasgow and Manchester’s AO Arena. Across the three-day festival, organisers expect to welcome almost 90,000 country music fans. Partnership marks Give Like Dolly Day Give Like Dolly Day is a global celebration inspired by Parton’s commitment to giving back, encouraging individuals and organisations to support causes that are important to them. The programme began in her home county of Sevier County, Tennessee, before expanding internationally. The first Imagination Library book was gifted in the UK in 2008. The programme now reaches almost 90,000 children in the UK each month. Books are selected according to age before being individually addressed and posted directly to participating children at no cost to their families. Globally, the programme has gifted more than 300 million books to children across the UK, United States, Canada, Australia and Republic of Ireland, with more than three million books currently posted each month. The new C2C partnership will use the country music festival’s audience to provide further support for that work, connecting Parton’s musical legacy with her longstanding commitment to childhood literacy.
