Ivor Novello-nominated singer-songwriter Elina releases her second single, ‘I Should’ve Danced More’, from her highly anticipated debut album. This folky track begins with a lovely finger-picked acoustic guitar, ambience is added to this stripped back production with the addition of the electric guitar that swoons in the second chorus. It makes a subtle entrance but lifts the song slightly without complicating things or taking attention away from Elina’s voice. Her soft vocals deliver a simple message of making sure not to leave this world with any regrets, it’s a well crafted song. The backing vocals in second verse add to the meaning whilst she uses her head voice effectively to reach new heights in the chorus. It’s a wonderful offering from the Swedish songstress who keeps going from strength to strength.
