For vintage amp aficionados, the Silvertone 1484 Twin Twelve amplifier is in the pantheon of great sounding amps from the 1960’s.  Silvertone Guitars has partnered with Jackson.Audio to create the new Silvertone 1484 Twin Twelve Guitar Pedal.  The Twin Twelve pedal resembles the vintage Silvertone amp with old, styled knobs, amp jewel light and laser cut stainless steel pedal chassis.  The Twin Twelve pedal can be utilised as a clean preamp, gentle distortion, or a booster.  Controls on the top of the pedal are straight forward like an amp featuring volume, bass, treble and gain.  There is an included card that provides knob position suggestions to achieve certain sought-after sounds. The pedal sounds like a vintage tube amplifier when you run your guitar through it and the overdrive is smooth.  For preamp and booster usages the Silvertone pedal would be ideal to build your other pedals around and bypass the preamp of your usual amplifier. It is powered by a 9-18v DC power, output is 100k OHM impedance and the Input is 1m OHM impedance.  Silvertone and Jackson.Audio took their time in releasing the Silvertone 1484 Twin Twelve pedal and it is worth the wait.
