On September 12–13, the newly unveiled Tanglefoot Music & BBQ Festival steps onto the scene, serving up two full days of live country music and pitmaster‑level barbecue at the newly renovated MLK Festival Grounds in downtown Temple.
At the heart of it all will be a powerhouse Texas‑country lineup led by two of the genre’s most compelling voices. Parker McCollum, riding the buzz of his June album drop, will headline Friday night, offering one of the first chances to hear his new songs live. Saturday’s spotlight belongs to Cody Jinks, the outspoken outlaw and MusicRow’s former Independent Artist of the Year.
But it doesn’t stop there. Temple’s MLK grounds will also play host to Texas legends like Robert Earl Keen, hailed as the Godfather of Texas country; Randy Rogers Band, celebrating a 25-year milestone; ’90s hitmaker Mark Chesnutt; and Houston-born powerhouse Jack Ingram.
The roster expands again with rebellious newcomers and genre-blending acts like Corey Kent, The Wilder Blue, Silverada, Shelby Stone, and many more—bringing bluegrass, Americana, and Texas rock flavors to the lineup under sunny Central Texas skies.
All of this unfolds across two outdoor stages, offering festival-goers a rich sensory mix of music, mouthwatering food, and community spirit shaped by Temple’s railroad‑town roots and true Southern hospitality.
With tickets on sale now—ranging from general admission to VIP—and kid‑friendly policies including free entry for under‑5s, Tanglefoot is positioning itself as a family-run celebration and a must‑visit fall destination in the heart of Texas.
