Giant of the Country music world, Jo Walker-Meador, has died aged 93 at her home in Nashville following complications from a stroke.
Even if you haven’t heard of her, Meador was a giant in the country music world. Meador was the first full-time employee hired by the Country Music Association and committed almost three decades of her life serving as the Executive Director of the CMA – a testament to her passion for the genre.
