Following the growing success of her single “Party Girl,” rising country artist Tyra Madison has released the official music video, bringing the emotional weight of the track to life through a poignant visual narrative.
The video has also been added to CMT Music’s rotation this week as well as their 12 Pack Countdown, marking a significant milestone in Tyra’s continued rise.
The video opens with a girl entering a crowded bar, her expression distant as she quietly orders a drink. As the scene unfolds, Tyra herself appears alone in a bathroom—dressed up yet surrounded by remnants of a chaotic night: fries, a wine bottle, and a box of American Spirits—mirroring the internal chaos hidden beneath the surface. The story cuts to the main actress forcing smiles at a table of laughing friends, and eventually, her silent breakdown in front of the bathroom mirror as she reapplies her makeup to “paint her smile back on.”
Just as the girl tries to compose herself, Tyra enters the bathroom, gently asking if she’s okay—signaling a moment of connection and understanding between two women who both know what it’s like to feel like they have to be the life of the party.
“The song tells an emotional story that I thought deserved imagery to go with it,” says Tyra about the video. “I knew I didn’t want to be the lead girl, because this song is all about female empowerment. I knew I wanted to be the one comforting the main actress in the video.”
“Party Girl” was produced by Jason Haag and written by Tyra Madison, Marla Cannon Goodman, and Dustin Christensen. The music video was shot at Tin Roof Demonbreun and directed by Tyra Madison and Chelsea Thompson.
