Rising country star Jacquie Roar has released Giddy Up, an anthem set to light up dance floors and set anyone up for a party.
Roar came to the attention of country fans after she competed on season 24 of The Voice, getting all the way through to the finals. More recently, she has performed alongside the likes of Jelly Roll.
The Oregon-based artist made her Music City debut in 2024, performing at CMA Fest, the Grand Ole Opry Plaza and Nashville’s legendary Whiskey Jam in the same year.
Review
Giddy Up is the sound of a girl’s night out. Featuring lyrics such as “Saddle up / Get on down / Stomp ya boots / And go to town” it has “anthem” written all over it. The chorus is catchy without feeling forced, giving it strong replay value. While it follows familiar country-pop structures, its personality and vocal strength set it apart as lively and empowering. It is just the kind of song which sets you up for a big night out, or getting the party going in a line dance, if you’re so inclined. It’s bold, high energy and has attitude.
