Country music star Riley Green has released the official music video for his latest single, “Think As You Drunk”, ahead of the arrival of his forthcoming album, “That’s Just Me”.
The new album is set for release on 18 September via Nashville Harbor Records & Entertainment, with “Think As You Drunk” offering fans another taste of the project’s blend of traditional country storytelling and modern country charm.
Filmed at Riley Green’s Duck Blind venue in Nashville, Tennessee, the video was directed by Wes Edwards and even features a cameo appearance from Green’s beloved corgi, Carl.
The light-hearted clip follows Green through an eventful night at the bar as one drink too many leads to a series of increasingly chaotic mishaps before he eventually takes to the stage to entertain a lively crowd.
“Think As You Drunk” pays tribute to Toby Keith
Released earlier this summer, “Think As You Drunk” serves as both a rowdy drinking anthem and a heartfelt tribute to late country music legend Toby Keith.
The song was written by Riley Green alongside Jessi Alexander, Erik Dylan, Wyatt McCubbin, Scotty Emerick and the late Toby Keith, whose contribution came posthumously. Emerick also co-wrote Keith’s classic hit “Ain’t As Good As I Once Was”.
Combining humour with classic country themes, the single highlights Green’s ability to balance heartfelt songwriting with his trademark Southern wit.
New album “That’s Just Me” arrives in September
Produced by Dan Huff, “That’s Just Me” was written and recorded during one of the busiest periods of Green’s career.
The album explores themes including love, heartbreak, country pride and carefree escapism, while showcasing the singer-songwriter’s honest, down-to-earth style.
It also features previously released tracks “My Way”, which appeared in the CBS drama Marshald, and “Go Again”, a duet with Hannah McFarland released last week.
Riley Green continues landmark year
The release of “Think As You Drunk” caps another milestone year for Green.
The multi-Platinum artist recently announced ten additional dates for his biggest headlining tour to date, the Cowboy As It Gets Tour, which will visit major cities including Los Angeles, Long Beach and Austin.
Away from music, Green recently made his acting debut in CBS’s Marshals, portraying former Navy SEAL Garrett, and was also announced as a coach for the upcoming 30th season of NBC’s The Voice.
He also celebrated his seventh US Country radio No. 1 with “Change My Mind”, won the ACM Award for Music Event of the Year, and launched his own spirits brand, Duck Club Bourbon.
With a new album, an expanding tour schedule and success across television and business ventures, Riley Green continues to strengthen his position as one of contemporary country music’s biggest stars.
