Review

Released on 12 January 2026, Brunette is a spirited country-pop single with tongue-in-cheek lyrical charm and a rhythm that leans toward contemporary radio play while retaining country instrumental character. The song revolves around a playful narrative about moving on from past relationships with humour and relatability, driven by upbeat production and confident vocal delivery. While not a radical departure from Wetmore’s established sound, it refines his blend of classic storytelling and mainstream appeal, making Brunette both accessible and memorable.
