To celebrate the release, Red Sky July will also be playing a special one-off Christmas show at the Green Note in Camden on December 11. Red Sky July are a London based trio comprised of husband and wife Ally McErlaine (guitarist from Texas) and Shelly Poole (Alisha’s Attic), with Charity Hair (The Alice Band and latterly The Ailerons, with Blur’s Dave Rowntree). The band have supported many prestigious artists such as Sheryl Crow, 10CC, Tom Jones and Jools Holland, playing major festivals including T in the Park, Isle of Wight and Glastonbury. “I picked up Ally’s new Buddy Holly guitar on a Saturday morning and it came out. Just came out! Easy-like Father Christmas had done it for me!” explained Shelly. “I love Christmas and spending it with my family and, although everyone is busy with work and touring in the run up, I love knowing that we will all be home together for Christmas.”
