Ronnie Wood and Imelda May to headline The Long Road Festival 2026

The Long Road Festival has announced that music legend Ronnie Wood and his band will headline the festival’s main stage on 29 August, joined by acclaimed Irish singer-songwriter Imelda May.

It comes after Bailey Zimmerman had to pull out of the festival after canceling the UK and Europe leg of his “Different Night Same Rodeo” tour.

The special performance forms part of the festival’s seventh edition, which returns to Stanford Hall, Leicestershire, over the August Bank Holiday weekend.

Together, Wood and May will deliver a set featuring timeless classics and fan favourites, adding another high-profile moment to this year’s line-up.

A two-time inductee into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame with both The Rolling Stones and Faces, Wood has spent decades shaping the sound of British rock music.

Award-winning Irish artist Imelda May has become one of the UK’s and Ireland’s most celebrated female performers, selling millions of records worldwide.

Star-studded Long Road Festival line-up

Known as the UK’s favourite immersive country, roots and Americana festival, The Long Road has assembled another outstanding line-up for 2026.

Festivalgoers can look forward to performances from 14-time Grammy Award winner Emmylou Harris, who will play the final show of her European farewell tour, Maren Morris, making her only UK festival appearance of the summer, Steve Earle, The Shires, and rising country star Josh Ross.

Visitors can enjoy activities including line dancing for all abilities, late-night afterparties, open mic sessions, Stateside food traders, craft beers, food competitions, the Lucky Dice Car & Bike Show, vintage funfair rides, country bingo, cowboy Olympics, country crafting, barn dances and the ever-popular Country-oke.

Food lovers will also be able to enjoy authentic Austin-style barbecue as Red Dog Saloon brings its renowned smokers and restaurant experience to the festival site.
