Fairport’s Cropredy Convention has announced the full line-up of artists appearing at this year’s festival. Taking place on 11, 12 and 13 August, Cropredy will put together over 30 hours of live music from 20 top acts. The headliners for 2016 include Madness on the Thursday and The Bootleg Beatles on Friday. The Saturday night headline performance from host band Fairport Convention will follow a solo set from Ralph McTell. This year’s eclectic line-up will range from folk rockers, Steeleye Span to emerging alt-folk band Maia; from the energetic performances of CoCo and the Butterfields to the much-loved hillbilly comedy of Hayseed Dixie. Other acts include Anthony John Clarke and Dave Pegg, Sound of the Sirens, and Wille and the Bandits on Friday; Richard Digance, Pierce Brothers, Demon Barbers XL and Babylon Circus on Saturday. As usual, Cropredy will also feature the winners of the BBC Radio 2 Young Folk Award. Tickets are exclusively available from Fairport’s website fairportconvention.com. One-day, two-day and three-day tickets are available.
