Scotty McCreery has postponed his May UK tour back until October, but has unfortunately had to axe his headline date in Bristol. All original tickets remain valid, while tickets for the UK shows are available here and Ireland shows here.
The COVID-19 pandemic has understandably caused chaos for just about every touring artist around the world and McCreery is no different, though he has found replacement dates for almost all of his gigs.
The only exception is the Bristol date, which was not able to be rescheduled and speaking about the decision, McCreery stated that human safety comes first and that he is very sorry about the cancelled gig, but is hopeful that the logistics of the London date ensure that fans in that area don’t miss out.
“I’ve really been looking forward to coming over this Spring, but my first priority is the health and safety of my fans, venue owners and staff and my band and crew,” said McCreery. “It may be a few months later than we had originally planned, but I can’t wait to come over to the UK and Ireland in October and see everyone. We will all get through this together.”
“I’m so sorry Bristol. I am very disappointed that I’m not able to perform in your city on the rescheduled tour. I hope to be there on a future UK tour and I hope some of you are able to come to our London show since it is now on a Saturday.”
The new dates for the Scotty McCreery UK tour are:
October 1 – O2 Ritz, Manchester, England
October 3 – O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire, London, England
October 5 – Old Fruitmarket, Glasgow, Scotland
October 6 – The Limelight*, Belfast, Northern Ireland
October 7 – Academy, Dublin, Republic of Ireland
